Viking Gate Operators can operate in climates as low as -4F. However, when a Viking Gate Operator is required to operate in temperatures below 0F we recommend the use of a Viking Heater. The heater is a self adhesive blanket (with a thermostat integrated) that wraps around the motor-gear-head ensuring the proper viscosity on the lubricant inside the gear-head and ensuring the optimum gate operator operation.
